So what are the key facts you need to take into account when choosing a dog harness?

Comfort. Your dog needs the harness to fit properly, not loose or baggy but secure enough not to move unnecessarily. Also not too tight as it needs to fit well enough to fit the body without putting pressure on the tummy or neck region.

What size of harness do you need?
It is relatively simple to determine the size requirements. You need to make two measurements. Firstly, measure around the deepest part of your dog’s chest. Secondly, measure the length from the back of the neck to the start of the tail. With these two measurements you can then choose the size of the harness using the manufacturers charts described when purchasing.
